Education & EdTech
Technology that serves the institution before the classroom.
Most education software is bought to satisfy reporting obligations, and teaching staff absorb the cost in evening admin. Meanwhile student information is spread across a dozen tools, so support decisions get made on partial pictures.
Admin in the evenings

At-risk students found late
Four corners of the education sector
The education sector is not one market. These are the areas we work in most, each with its own systems, regulators and pressures.
Schools & Districts
Student administration, reporting, parent communication and wellbeing tracking.
Higher Education
Enrolment, course delivery, research administration and student analytics.
Vocational & RTO
Competency tracking, compliance reporting and industry placement management.
EdTech Products
Learning platforms, assessment tools and content delivery for education companies.

The problems that actually come up.
Recurring issues in education, and what we do about each one.
Teachers spending evenings on admin
Automation of attendance, reporting, permissions and communication so preparation time goes back to teaching.
Student data spread across a dozen tools
Integration into one student record, so support decisions are made with the full picture.
One-size content in a mixed-ability room
Adaptive pathways and AI tutoring that adjust to each learner while keeping the teacher in control.
At-risk students identified too late
Early-warning analytics on engagement and performance signals, surfaced to staff who can intervene.
Measure success in teacher hours returned.
If a feature does not reduce administrative load, that is a reason to question the feature. We design with teaching staff because they know where the time actually goes, and we integrate the tools that are staying.

Frequently asked questions.
What clients in education usually want to know before starting.
1. Will this add to teacher workload?
It should reduce it, and if a proposed feature does not, that is a reason to question the feature. We measure success partly on administrative time removed, and we involve teaching staff in design because they are the ones who know where the time actually goes.
2. How do you handle student data privacy?
Student data is treated as sensitive by default: minimised collection, role-based access, Australian data residency, and clear retention rules. Where a third-party AI service is involved, we check what it does with submitted data before it goes anywhere near a student record.
3. Is AI tutoring appropriate for younger students?
With constraints, yes — bounded scope, teacher visibility of every interaction, and no open-ended conversation. The design question is not whether the model is capable but what it should be allowed to do, and that is a decision we make with the school rather than for it.
4. Can you integrate with our existing LMS or SIS?
Yes. Most institutions have an LMS and student information system that are staying, so the work is integration rather than replacement — bringing records together and filling the gaps between platforms.
5. Do you work with EdTech companies as well as institutions?
Yes. For product companies the engagement looks different — platform architecture, scalability and speed to market rather than institutional rollout — but the domain knowledge carries across.
