Manufacturing & Industry 4.0

MANUFACTURING & INDUSTRY 4.0

The data is already on the floor. It just never leaves it.

PLCs, sensors and SCADA generate more than enough signal to run a plant well. The gap is that none of it reaches the systems where commercial decisions are made, so throughput problems are diagnosed weeks after they cost something.

WHO WE WORK WITH

Four corners of the manufacturing sector

The manufacturing sector is not one market. These are the areas we work in most, each with its own systems, regulators and pressures.

01

Discrete Manufacturing

Production scheduling, quality management and traceability for assembled goods.

02

Process Manufacturing

Batch control, yield analysis and compliance records for continuous production.

03

Industrial Equipment

Connected products, remote monitoring and service platforms for equipment makers.

04

Food & Agribusiness

Cold chain visibility, provenance tracking and compliance reporting.

CHALLENGES WE SOLVE

The problems that actually come up.

Recurring issues in manufacturing, and what we do about each one.

01

Machine data that never leaves the floor

WHAT WE DO

We connect PLCs, sensors and SCADA to a cloud data layer, so line performance is visible in the same place as commercial data.

02

Maintenance that is either too early or too late

WHAT WE DO

Condition monitoring and failure models turn fixed-interval servicing into intervention based on actual equipment state.

03

ERP that nobody trusts

WHAT WE DO

We fix the integration and data quality underneath the ERP so the numbers reconcile, then automate the workarounds people built around it.

04

No visibility past the first supplier

WHAT WE DO

Supply chain platforms that track inbound materials, in-transit stock and supplier performance in one view.

HOW WE APPROACH IT

Connect the floor, then make the numbers trustworthy.

We bring machine data into a cloud layer alongside commercial data, then fix the integration and data quality underneath the ERP. Prediction comes after that, because models built on unreliable data are worse than no model.

WHAT WE BUILD

Capabilities for manufacturing.

The work we are most often brought in to do in this sector.

IoT & Shop Floor Connectivity

PLC, SCADA and sensor integration into a cloud data layer.

Predictive Maintenance

Condition monitoring and failure prediction that schedules intervention by equipment state.

ERP Integration & Extension

Dynamics 365 and third-party ERP integration, plus the apps that fill its gaps.

Quality Management Systems

Inspection capture, non-conformance workflow and traceability records.

Digital Twin & Simulation

Virtual models of lines and assets for scenario testing and throughput planning.

Supply Chain Visibility

Inbound, in-transit and supplier performance tracking in a single operational view.

TECHNOLOGY

Built on tooling your team can keep running.

Mainstream, well-supported platforms rather than anything exotic, so your people or another supplier can maintain what we hand over.

OUR APPROACH

How we work in the manufacturing sector

1

Assess what each asset exposes

Older machines vary widely, and that determines cost more than anything else.

2

Keep OT and IT separated

Data crosses a controlled boundary; cloud systems never reach into machine control.

3

Monitor before predicting

Condition thresholds first, failure models once enough history exists.

ENGAGEMENT MODELS

Work with us the way that suits you

Flexible engagement models, chosen with you to optimise cost and quality.

Onshore

Onshore consulting, local account managers and support teams in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

Hybrid

A mix of onshore and offshore delivery, chosen to optimise cost and quality for your project.

Offshore

Dedicated developers, offshore resources or full project teams under flexible engagement models.

STANDARDS & COMPLIANCE

Obligations shape the build from day one.

What applies in this sector, and how it affects the way we design and deliver.

ISO 9001 support

Quality management records and traceability built to audit requirements.

ISO 27001 aligned

Security across OT and IT integration points.

Traceability & recall

Batch and serial traceability supporting recall obligations.

OT/IT segregation

Network and access design that keeps operational technology protected.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions.

What clients in manufacturing usually want to know before starting.

1. Our equipment is old — can it still be connected?

Usually, yes. Older machines without network interfaces can be instrumented with retrofit sensors or read through their PLC. We start with an assessment of what each asset can expose, because the answer varies widely across a floor and it determines cost more than anything else.

Rarely, and we would rather you did not. Most ERP frustration comes from integration gaps and data quality rather than the platform itself. We generally fix those first — it is faster, cheaper, and you find out whether the ERP was really the problem.

Enough failure history to learn from, which typically means 12-18 months of sensor data covering several failure events per asset class. With less than that we start with condition monitoring and thresholds, and move to prediction as history accumulates.

Yes, and multi-site is where it usually pays off most, because you can compare line performance between plants. We normally prove it at one site first, then roll out with the data model already settled.

By keeping the separation intact. Data flows out of the OT network through a controlled boundary; cloud systems do not reach back into machine control. Anything that would change that is a decision made explicitly with your engineering team, not a side effect of the architecture.

Let's talk about your manufacturing challenge.

Tell us what is not working. We will tell you honestly whether it is something we can help with, and what it would realistically take.
