Energy & Utilities
Networks getting harder to run, on systems built for simpler ones.
Distributed generation, variable load and ageing assets have inverted assumptions baked into older systems — including which direction power flows. Faults are still often discovered when a customer rings.

Four corners of the energy sector
The energy sector is not one market. These are the areas we work in most, each with its own systems, regulators and pressures.
Electricity Networks
Grid monitoring, outage management and distributed energy integration.
Water & Waste Utilities
Network telemetry, leak detection and asset condition management.
Renewables
Generation monitoring, forecasting and performance reporting.
Energy Retail
Billing, customer portals, tariff management and consumption insight.
Get your Business Right up There

The problems that actually come up.
Recurring issues in energy, and what we do about each one.
Faults found when customers call
Sensor telemetry and anomaly detection that surface network problems before the complaints start.
Assets maintained on a fixed calendar
Condition-based maintenance driven by actual asset state and failure risk.
Carbon reporting assembled annually by hand
Automated emissions data collection and reporting with traceable figures.
Field crews working from paper packs
Mobile field service with job detail, asset history and completion capture offline.
Start where the instrumentation already exists.
Well-instrumented parts of a network support near-real-time monitoring today. We start there, show what it reveals, and let that build the case for instrumenting further — rather than proposing a network-wide rollout up front.

How we work in the energy sector
Telemetry and anomaly detection
Problems surfaced before the complaints, where sensors allow it.
The OT boundary stays intact
Data flows outward through a controlled interface; nothing reaches back in.

Frequently asked questions.
What clients in energy usually want to know before starting.
1. Can you work with our SCADA and existing network systems?
Yes. We read from SCADA and historian systems through controlled interfaces rather than connecting cloud services into the control network. The boundary stays intact; only data crosses it.
2. How do you handle critical infrastructure obligations?
SOCI obligations are a design input on this kind of work. We establish early which assets are in scope, what the security requirements mean architecturally, and what evidence your risk function will need — then build to that.
3. Is real-time monitoring realistic across an entire network?
It depends on instrumentation. Well-instrumented parts of a network support near-real-time monitoring today; other sections may only report periodically. We usually start where the data already exists and build the case for further instrumentation from what it shows.
4. Can field apps work without coverage?
They have to. Field applications are built offline-first — job details, asset history and forms are available without a connection, and completion data syncs when coverage returns.
5. Do you support renewable and distributed generation?
Yes. Distributed generation is the harder integration problem in most networks right now, because it inverts assumptions built into older systems about which way power flows and who is metered.

Tell us what is not working. We will tell you honestly whether it is something we can help with, and what it would realistically take.
