Telecommunications
Sophisticated networks, frustrating customer systems.
Telcos run some of the most advanced infrastructure in the country alongside some of the most painful account experiences. The gap between network reality and what a customer or service agent can see is where most of the cost sits.
Churn understood too late
Calls about self-service tasks
Provisioning done by hand
Four corners of the telecommunications sector
The telecommunications sector is not one market. These are the areas we work in most, each with its own systems, regulators and pressures.
Carriers & ISPs
Network operations, provisioning and service assurance.
Managed Service Providers
Client provisioning, monitoring and support platforms.
Enterprise Connectivity
Private network management and enterprise service delivery.
Telco Products
Self-service apps, billing experience and digital sales channels.

The problems that actually come up.
Recurring issues in telecommunications, and what we do about each one.
Churn understood only after it happens
Predictive models on usage, service and support signals that flag at-risk accounts while retention is still possible.
Support calls for things customers could self-serve
Self-service portals and apps that expose the account actions that generate the most call volume.
Provisioning that takes days of manual steps
Orchestrated provisioning across network and billing systems, with exception handling rather than manual execution.
Billing migrations everyone is afraid of
Staged migration with reconciliation and parallel running, so the cutover is verifiable rather than hopeful.
Target the calls people actually make.
Self-service moves the numbers when it addresses the short list of issues driving volume. A comprehensive portal nobody uses does not. We start by looking at what people actually ring about.
Capabilities for telecommunications.
The work we are most often brought in to do in this sector.
Churn Prediction
Usage, service and support signals modelled to flag at-risk accounts early.
Self-Service Portals & Apps
Account management, diagnostics and support deflection for customers.
Service Provisioning Automation
Orchestration across network, CRM and billing with exception handling.
Network Operations Analytics
Performance, fault and capacity insight across the network estate.
Billing System Migration
Staged migration with reconciliation and parallel running.
5G & Edge Readiness
Architecture and application patterns for low-latency edge services.
Built on tooling your team can keep running.
Mainstream, well-supported platforms rather than anything exotic, so your people or another supplier can maintain what we hand over.
How we work in the telecommunications sector
Rank accounts by risk
Support and network quality data carry most of the early churn signal.
Self-service for the top issues
Built around real call drivers rather than a feature checklist.
Staged billing migration
Parallel running and reconciliation so cutover is verifiable.

Frequently asked questions.
What clients in telecommunications usually want to know before starting.
1. How accurate is churn prediction in practice?
Good enough to prioritise retention effort, which is the point — you are ranking accounts by risk, not making a guarantee about any one customer. Accuracy depends heavily on whether support and network quality data are available alongside billing, because those carry most of the early signal.
2. Can you integrate with our OSS/BSS stack?
Yes. These are usually large, long-lived systems we integrate with rather than replace, through their APIs or supported interfaces. The main constraint is what the incumbent vendor exposes, which we establish early.
3. How risky is a billing migration?
Risky enough to stage carefully. We run parallel and reconcile before cutover, so discrepancies surface while the old system is still authoritative. Anyone proposing a single-weekend cutover on a complex billing estate is underestimating it.
4. What does 5G readiness actually involve for our applications?
Mostly architecture rather than novelty: designing for edge deployment, lower latency budgets and workloads that can run closer to the user. Much of the value is available today on existing networks, so we would not gate the work on 5G rollout.
5. Can self-service genuinely reduce call volume?
Yes, if it targets the right calls. We start by looking at what people actually ring about, which is usually a short list dominated by a few issues. Building self-service for those moves the numbers; building a comprehensive portal nobody uses does not.
